We are currently seeking aProcurement specialist (w/m/d) who will beresponsible for the management of direct and indirect products andmaterials suppliers. In this role you will be responsible for theimprovement of supplier performance, cost reduction, risk reductionand supplier relationship management. Supplier selection, contractmanagement and price negotiation based on internal requests willalso be part of thejob.
In This Role,this Will Be Your Responsibilities
- Evaluate and makerecommendations on buying and selling decisions for new andexisting products.
- Engage with innovation andengineering teams to ensure new productsuccess.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers toensure stock coverage and minimizecosts.
- Monitor prices of main materials;analyze impact based on annual usage and present results tomanagement for budgeting purposes.
- Identify keysources and encourage suppliers to remain competitive, to obtainthe best value (quality, lead time, cost andservice).
- Knowledge of bestpractices and awareness of the competition and factors thatdifferentiate them in the market.
- Bachelor’sdegree + 3-5 years of work experience in procurement or strategicsourcing. Additional training would be a plus (forexample a background in engineering, Purchasing Negotiation, MBA,etc.).
- Fluent Oral and written in German andEnglish .
- Experience with Microsoft Excel PowerBI to create and manipulate spreadsheets and analyzedata.
- Enjoy travelling to France from time totime (and USA/China once ayear).
