The company’s aim is to develop highly innovative technologies to address medical needs in the fields of cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. TRON was founded in 2010 in Mainz and works in close cooperation with universities and clinics as well as with regional, national and international research institutions and companies in the pharmaceutical industry.As part of our team, you have the opportunity to work with talented and dedicated colleagues, to develop and expand your professional experience, and to be at the cutting-edge of translational science to improve patient lives.Our Animal Models & Imaging team works with preclinical models to develop innovative cancer immunotherapies and to elucidate their mechanism of action. Our research interests range from antibody-based therapies, RNA-based vaccinations and the use of immunomodulators to combination therapies. We have a variety of our own (immunological) projects and a strong interaction with teams in the implementation of joint projects. Our methodological focus is primarily tumor models, but also tumor-free immunogenicity tests and extensive ex vivo analyses such as examinations of the tumor microenvironment, ELISpot or cytotoxicity assays.TRON is expanding its multidisciplinary unit Animal Models & Imaging with exceptional experience in working with laboratory animals for preclinical research & development as well as in immunological downstream assays. In order to enlarge continuously our scientific knowledge as well as our technical and methodological competence we are looking as soon as possible for support asTechnical Assistant/Research Assistant (m/f/d)Duties & Responsibilities- Exploring and improving state of the art and new, innovative immunotherapies in the field of cancer immunotherapy (e.g. monoclonal antibody treatment, chemo-/radiotherapy, RNA lipoplex-based vaccination etc.)
- Planning, execution and analysis of preclinical mouse experiments including documentation according to official & internal guidelines
- Planning and conducting immunological in vitro assays based on multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA and ELIspot
- Establishment and standardization of new methods
- Writing of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Pro active contribution to tasks of general lab organization
- Completed apprenticeship as technical assistant and/or bachelor or master degree in life sciences
- FELASA function A (former FELASA category B) or similar qualification
- Practical experience in conducting animal experiments is a must, ideally with preclinical tumor models or immunotherapy
- Experience in performing in vitro assays based on multicolor flow cytometry techniques, immunological methods such as ELISA and ELIspot as well as immunological background are a plus
