TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE (M/F/D)Full Time - Mainz
We are looking for support in our Biosampling/IHC unit to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will support the lab team in the performance of daily tasks in the unit. The Biosampling/IHC Unit is part of Biomarker Development Center in TRON, aiming to identify and validate novel biomarkers involved mainly in cancer but also in other diseases. The unit supports the projects of TRON and industrial/academic cooperation partners with its expertise on histological assays to analyze and validate new biomarkers in spatial context, deepen the knowledge in tumor microenvironment, and investigate biodistribution and expression of mRNAbased vaccines.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- Perform and document histological and immunohistological staining on tissue sections (manual and automated)
- Process biospecimens (blood, serum, plasma and/or pleura effusion fluid samples, tissue)
- Biospecimen management: Keep a record of patient samples and data connected with those samples
- Assist in drafting SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) for new processes
- Responsible for laboratory inventory and organization
- A training as a technical assistance or equivalent qualification (e. g. BTA/CTA/MTA); University graduates (BSc) with an interest in the field of immune oncology or related discipline are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of histology and related techniques including immunohistochemistry and immunefluorescence and previous experience
- Hands on experience in working under sterile conditions
- An independent, self-motivated working manner and the ability to work in an team
