What We Offer

Our functional area CEO (Chief Executive Officer) is responsible for the strategic orientation and further development of Covestro as well as the corporate culture and includes, among other things, all steering functions of the company.

Our Global Innovation Excellence department is the central steering function for Covestro’s global innovation process (stage-gate process). The process is the basis for a substanitated steering of the R&D portfolio and thus is an important lever to achieve Covestro’s strategic goals (e.g. circularity).

You can expect a dynamic working environment in which you will have the opportunity to support us in further developing of the innovation process. The development focuses on on process management, project management and project portfolio management on the one hand and on the related software applications on the other hand.

In particular, you will support us in the following activities:
  • In cooperation with your colleagues (m/f/d), you will help to improve our stage gate process
  • Support the operation, maintenance and development of the software application
  • As a link in project portfolio management, you will exchange information across teams with other internal functions, such as the sustainability and digitalisation departments
  • In collaboration with your supervisor, you will, among other things, create Excel-based standard reports, as well as data analyses from large amounts of data

What You Offer
  • You are currently completing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in the field of economics, computer data science or comparable fields of study
  • You are familiar with business management principles and the generation of common key performance indicators
  • You have excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and ideally had first contact with a project management software
  • Ideally, you have knowledge of the programming languages VBA and/or Java.
  • You learn quickly, have strong analytical skills and are solution-oriented
  • You also like to work in a structured manner and have good communication skills
  • A very good command of written and spoken German and English is required

The internship duration will be 6 months and will probably take place (partly) in the home office.
