About the Opportunity
We have a great opportunity as Director of Government Affairs for the DACH region, reporting to the General Manager, you will be leading the Pharma Affairs department, which includes Drug Safety and Regulatory affairs.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Coordination of activities to obtain and maintain existing Almirall product approvals as well as the development of concepts to efficiently obtain desired new approvals for the entire D/A/CH region
- Providing support for potential new product launches;
- External collaboration mainly with regulatory authorities according to drug, cosmetic and medical device law, as well as associations and interest groups in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxemburg, the Ministry of Health and payers
- Building strong relationships, networks and alliances with policy stakeholders including parliamentarians, government agencies, coalitions, academics, KOLs and advocacy groups.
- Contribute to the European policy and government affairs strategies, participating in global team meetings and ensuring collaboration and alignment.
- Acting as the internal responsible manager to lead legal processes and actions of competitors or against competitors
- Monitor and share with local Senior Management information on regulatory developments
Requirements
- University or bachelor’s degree. A Master’s degree in political science, public policy, public health or MBA/JD would be an advantage.
- Significant proven experience in public affairs, policy and government affairs roles
- Strong experience in interacting with Health Authorities and Associations
- Well-established stakeholder relationships and networks with key decision-makers, opinion leaders and advocacy groups
- Strong knowledge of European and German regulations on Regulatory Affairs and Drug Safety is desirable
- A high level of English and German is essential for job performance
