The Role
The Client Advisor is the face of J.P. Morgan’s Private Banking business. The Advisor contributes to the growth of the business through deepening and retention via a broad knowledge of investments, banking, lending and financial planning. The Advisor will communicate market strategy, investment knowledge to clients and will consult with clients to determine their portfolio objectives and long term asset allocations. The investment universe includes Fixed Income, Equities, Alternatives and global Multi-Asset mandates. This role is also responsible for the client experience and engaging our resources to deliver a complete wealth management solution.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with clients by earning trust, thoroughly understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, developing thoughtful solutions and delivering an exceptional client experience
- Drive business results and acquire new assets, both from deepening existing client base and new client acquisition
- Manage each client relationship to ensure that the client has a completed profile and that accounts are properly maintained and serviced, specifically adhering to J.P. Morgan Risk and Control Management policies, regulatory guidelines and security measure
- Understand client’s goals and objectives to develop and implement investment plan on their overall balance sheet, including holistic asset allocation, investment management, portfolio construction and tactical asset allocation shifts, wealth planning, credit and banking needs
- Conduct investment reviews with clients to validate investment objectives, prepare recommendations and ensure that proposed solutions fulfil clients’ needs and objectives through a holistic goals based planning approach
Qualifications
- Several years’ experience in Private Banking working with ultra-high net worth German resident individuals including family owned businesses and entrepreneurs, executives, single family offices and endowments or related fields within financial services
- Strong network and reputation within the German private client sphere
- Previous business development experience with knowledge in profiling, negotiation and asking for referrals proactively
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, credit, banking and wealth advisory concepts including, but not limited to asset allocation on structured portfolios, managed portfolios, brokerage accounts, portfolio reviews, deposit and loan solutions, basic trust and estate products and identification of wealth planning opportunities
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of the equity and fixed income markets and alternative investments, including Hedge Funds and Private Equity
- Asset allocation / multi asset class portfolio or sales experience is preferable. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus
- Achievement oriented, focused on exceeding business goals with sufficient attention to detail
- Impeccable sense of ethics and values
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral with ability to generate trust with clients through a credible discussion on investment matters
- Collaborative team spirit and ability to work effectively both independently and as a team player are essential
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business including regulatory and technological environment
- Ability to thrive in an internal culture that values innovation, customer service, internal partnership and entrepreneurship
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills and apply a disciplined and organized approach throughout their business, ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively
- Strong relationship management, presentation and interpersonal skills, show strong motivation and positive attitude.
