Job Description:
The Master’s student will work on a topic that is suitable for a Master’s thesis. Details of the assignment can be adjusted to the requirements of his/her university. We expect him/her to work full time on-site as far as possible. He/she will be part of an experienced analog IC design team, providing all the support and guidance needed. This group designs Automotive integrated circuits including CAN transceivers, LIN transceivers, and Motor Drivers. Key challenges in these product lines are electro-magnetic compatibility (EMC) and robustness in the harsh automotive environment, including electro-static discharge (ESD). A mentor will be assigned to speed up learning of analog design, software tools and measurement equipment, as required. The assignment may focus on one of the following tasks:
  • Designing a functional block of an integrated circuit of an ongoing new product development, including verification (simulation) against the design objective specification (DOS).
  • Designing a test chip as pre-development for a future product.
  • Validating (measuring) existing test chips in our lab and concluding on design recommendations for future products.
Requirements/Qualifications:
MANDATORY SKILLS:
  • Basic knowledge in analog circuit design
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or some related field
  • Interest to deepen knowledge and skills in analog IC design
PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • First experience in analog IC design, ideally using Cadence design software
