Your role and responsibilities:
  • You lead a small team of Business Development Managers and develop a dedicated and committed business development organization.
  • Within your role you are a key driver for Business Development and strategies and their global implementation.
  • You observe, analyze and actively screen current and future markets, identify potential areas of growth and assist management in setting strategic goals.
  • You are responsible for technology scouting of the business line in close cooperation with the innovation team.
  • Furthermore, you identify, structure and execute growth and M&A projects together with corporate and other Business Line functions.
  • You deliver project results within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards and consider the impact of your own projects across the business.
  • You are the owner of the Business Line strategy process and define the strategy together with sales and other functions.
  • You are an integral part of the Business Line management team.


Your profile:
  • University degree in chemistry or chemical engineering and several years of (international) work experience
  • Know-how in several markets of the chemical industry, preferably heterogeneous and/or homogeneous catalysis
  • Knowledge in the areas of market analysis, strategy development, business planning and project management
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills and a strategic thinker
  • Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
  • Attributes that describe you are team player, analytical thinker, communication skills, business mindset, leadership competence
