In order to expand our European Finance team, we are looking for you as a self-driven individual at our offices in Ismaning, Germanyfor the role of:Financial Reporting Manager (m/f/d)Your Role and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the preparation of the Group’s statutory annual reports
  • Accountable for support and oversight of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle across all European operating entities and business line
  • Taking on a key role in creating a European finance community; you support and guide the branches to ensure compliance with the applicable accounting standards and policies
  • Responsible for accounting and settlement of in- and outwards reinsurance
  • Support performance management and prepare reports for senior management and the Board
  • Establishment, refine, and continuous improvement for procedural framework in place for judgmental and technical month-end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide cover for the Head of Finance when needed
Your Profile
  • Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or reporting of an insurance company, preferably in a European, multi-Gaap environment.
  • Good business acumen that enables you to support the company’s growth strategy, but also independently motivated with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Substantial experience with consolidation, under local Gaap and IFRS as well as a broad and deep understanding of financial accounting processes and tools.
  • Commercially minded with good analytical, communicative and especially social skills who enjoys working in a dynamic, decentralised and international finance team.
  • Fluent in spoken and written German as well as good English skills (min. B2)
