Job Description

Danfoss Power Solutions is looking for an experienced Customer Service Director (m/f/d) with experience in electro-mechanical engineered products for Editron division . As our new Director, you will be responsible to lead the global service team, ensuring daily operational services while also strategically developing our service capability in line with Editrons business growth. The growth in service capability could be either organic or via partnerships with Danfoss or external service providers. The Customer Service Director will be responsible for service strategy creation and deployment, creation and implementation of relevant processes, and development of the service function and service capabilities. This position will include close cooperation with different business units and teams in Editron and DPS global functions as well as with other relevant teams in Danfoss organization. This position includes some amount of travelling, but it is not a major part of this position.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Safety is our number one priority and the Customer Service Team often visits Customer locations and therefore must be trained and feel empowered to make whatever decisions are necessary to ensure the safety of themselves plus anyone working with them.
  • The Customer Service team is located globally so that this role will require an understanding of different cultures plus the flexibility to adapt to communicating in different time zones.
  • Service and repair of product that is out of warranty must be performed in a commercially attractive way, and this role will be responsible for ensuring that quotations are provided in a timely manner, POs are received prior to service being provided and invoices are sent out immediately after the activity is complete.
  • Editron is growing at a rate of over 60% per year, therefore the Customer Service capability has to grow also in order to provide effective support for the business growth and this would include partnering with DPS or external organizations in order to provide the necessary response times and coverage
  • A key element of supporting Editron’s growth is to continue to develop our people which involves the development of smart objectives and individual development plans that ensure that the teams capability grows in support of the challenges that will arise, this will also involve the development of a skills matrix, thus enabling gaps to be identified and addressed
  • This position will involve building relationships both within Editron and also within the wider Danfoss organization
