What you’ll do:

The Contracts & Negotiation Manager is responsible for using business and legal judgment to structure, draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer sales agreements, amendments, LOIs/MOUs, and other agreements with strategic and key customers, as well as assisting on occasion with customer requests for proposal (RFPs) and one-off purchase orders. You will apply sound judgment to identify, evaluate and negotiate contract terms and conditions and other related requirements/risks. You will also be able to collaborate effectively with EMEA regional Legal counsel.

Essential Responsibilities

:
  • Draft, review/edit, and negotiate strategic and transactional customer agreements, such as (but not limited to): customer sales contracts, amendments, reseller agreements, pricing agreements, contract renewals, and customer requests for proposal, etc.)
  • Manage contract clause libraries and contract databases
  • Advise sales and business teams on agreement structure, templates, risks, and alternatives; gain buy-in from regional EMEA Legal Counsel and partner with them on risk tolerance, template improvements etc.
  • Manage contract reviews/input across the various internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance to the contracts approval policy
  • Lead process improvement efforts to support the achievement of business objectives
  • Provide training, mentorship, and 2nd-tier support to Contracts Specialists
Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

/Requirements for this position include:
  • A law degree, preferably obtained in Germany, Switzerland, or Austria At least 2+ years’ experience with contract drafting/legal work
  • At least 2+ years’ experience with contract negotiations and external client engagement/ management
  • Demonstrable experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in a fast-paced environment
  • German and English language fluency/skills
Other Desired Characteristics include:
  • Experience in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and/or Life Sciences industry
  • High level working knowledge of Microsoft Word and the Microsoft office suite
  • Experience using Salesforce.com
