We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) (f/m/d) to join our Shops Management domain. About Shops Management Domain
We are a highly motivated team of tech experts building the best-in-class local shops delivery platform. The Shops Management domain is developing solutions (assortment, pricing, promotions, fulfillment, inventory management, sales reports and insights, prediction models, etc.) so that our global vendors can sell their products on our consumer facing platforms (Foodpanda, PedidosYa, Yemeksepeti, Talabat, more). Our vendor customers - from corner shops to big supermarkets - expect a high quality of services which are accessible with mobile, web and api interfaces. Our autonomous (“we build it, we run it”) cross-functional squads deliver fast, often and data driven so that we ensure continuous improvements along the customer journey.

Your Mission:
Work on products that help our local shop vendors to digitize their businesses and sell their products on our customer facing platforms
Build and run scalable backend services and ensure a high service level to foster the trust in our digital solutions
Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
Analyze our applications performance and understand customer behavior
Contribute to our tribe architecture and support to strategically evolve our systems landscape so that it can serve our business and customer needs
Collaborate with backend developers, frontend developers, mobile developers, data experts, UX/UI designers, product managers to continuously improve functionality, usability, reliability and performance of vendor facing applications
Your Heroic Skills:
Strong passion for top-notch software development and delivery
High sense of responsibility to run software for millions of users: we build it, we run it
4+ years of backend microservice development experience using Kubernetes and cloud technologies (AWS or GCP)
Very good knowledge of Java or Kotlin
Very good knowledge of scaling stateless high load backend services using message queues
Good knowledge of object-oriented concepts and design patterns
Very good skills in writing clean code and exception handling
Experienced with testing frameworks and testing methodologies (e.g. tdd)
Experienced with CI/CD pipelines to deploy fast and often
Good understanding of logging, monitoring and alerting systems
Experienced with agile methodologies and a very good understanding of its importance for high performing teams
Proficient english language skills
Nice To Have Skills:
Experience building self-contained systems
