RESPONSIBILITIES

Our unit NBD & Technical Marketing Aroma Ingredients is developing fragrant materials for the Flavors and Fragrances Industry. The workplace is Lampertheim.

In your new role, you will drive the successful execution of our Aroma Ingredients innovation strategy and lead innovation projects for innovative and sustainable fragrance ingredients in close collaboration with our customers and the BASF R&D team.
Moreover, you will drive idea generation, evaluation of new business opportunities and execution of R&D projects.
Furthermore, you will identify market opportunities with external consultants and lead projects on technology and start-up scouting activities.
You will continuously optimize our innovation process for new aroma ingredients, ensure the communication of research results to BASF’s management and the compliance with the research budget of the Aroma Ingredients unit.
Within our unit you drive the continuous exchange of know-how on innovation topics, raw material aspects and sustainability within the BASF Verbund as well as with external partners.
QUALIFICATIONS

master’s degree or diploma in natural sciences or in a related discipline
several years of professional experience in the flavor and fragrance industry
relevant professional experience in research management and planning
expertise in contract drafting and negotiation
effective and convincing communication in English and German
high level of customer focus and an innovative as well as solution-oriented working style
strategically thinking and entrepreneurial spirit
