The Risk Analytics & Reporting department is responsible for the Group internal model of Munich Re and the Group actuarial function. This involves setting standards for risk modelling and regular validation of these models, as well as providing input for insurance risk and investment steering.
We are offering you the opportunity to play a key role in the risk modelling under Solvency II. The major focus is on non-life risk modelling and the aggregation of risk categories. As a risk analyst, you will report to the head of the Property & Casualty section.
Your job
- Developing and implementing modelling methods in the internal model of the Munich Re Group
- Managing or contributing to projects in the context of digitalisation, the governance of the international organisation, and the continuously changing requirements from both internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering quarterly capital and risk key figures of Munich Re Group with special focus on property/casualty, operational risk and group aggregation
- Supporting the supervisory process and the reporting of risk key figures under Solvency II
- Representing Risk Management in various groups and boards of Munich Re Group, and contributing to cross-divisional topics
- Communicating to internal stakeholders (e.g. board members, international organisation, business units) as well as external stakeholders (e.g. regulators, auditors)
Your profile
- University degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, data science, IT, or similar qualification)
- Several years of professional experience in non-life actuarial topics (insurance or re-insurance)
- On-the-job practical experience in one or more of the following areas: internal models, reserving, pricing, accounting
- Experience in supporting or leading of projects, preferably with IT context
- Talent to work in new and complex fields
- Talent to communicate complex matters in a transparent and clear way
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and acting in a confident manner with good negotiation skills
- Ability to resolve conflicts and demonstrate commitment in an ever-changing environment
- Fluency in spoken and written English, fluency in German desirable
