Your Role

The Symrise Unilever team is providing dedicated customer solutions and products to one of our key accounts based on specific client needs and rising consumer trends. Leveraging on solid client relationship and expert knowledge of the Oral Care category, the Regional Account Manager will be responsible for the continuous development of our product portfolio to drive sustainable profitable sales and market share growth with Unilever in the Europe, Africa, and Middle East (EAME) region.

In this pivotal and highly visible role, you will be leading and coordinating our activities across all regional key markets independently and working closely with the Business Support team to ensure exceptional client satisfaction with sales of Oral Care products and solutions. Reporting to the Global Account Director Oral Care for Unilever you will work out of our Headquarter in the Greater Hanover area.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following main duties

  • Develop, implement and manage the strategic sales portfolio within the Oral Care category
  • Develop high-quality commercial go-to-market strategy for Unilever portfolio in EAME and execute an aligned account plan
  • Drive Oral Care projects with strong focus on efficiency and smooth, on-time delivery in line with key milestones
  • Actively engage with key team members in key areas such as Flavorists, Evaluation, Marketing, C&MI, R&D and Laboratory) and maintain a strong internal network across all disciplines
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Unilever key decision makers/influencers, developing high level of customer trust and engagement
  • Manage and/or mentor Unilever business support team

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or another relevant discipline

Experience

  • At least 3-6 years of direct experience in the fragrance industry within sales, evaluation, marketing, or a technical role; alternatively, related industry experience in FMCG, flavor, chemical ingredients or similar
  • Familiarity and high level of interest in the category and the competitive market; awareness of rising consumer trends; demonstrated motivation to become an expert in your category

  • Excellent communicator and negotiator, proven ability to influence clients and at all levels of the internal organisation; used to establishing and maintain sustainable business relationships
  • Integrity and high ethical standards; attention to detail
  • Flexibility and good problem solving skills; proven ability to handle multiple projects and tasks in parallel, knowing how to prioritize
  • Advanced IT literacy with focus on SAP, MS Office
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written; additional German language skills are preferred
