For our team in charge for Grid Support and Maintenance we are looking for a self-driven and proactive Power System Engineer. The team is spread across the US, Spain, and Denmark. We welcome candidates in either of these locations.
How To Contribute To Our Vision
As a power system engineer, you will work with cross-functional projects and you will be the link between the test department and internal and external stakeholders. Interactions can be related to either technical or commercial aspects of our projects. More specifically, your areas of responsibility will among others cover:
- Grid Code and Developer-requirement analysis
- Modeling of Offshore Wind Farms; these models will be used to perform steady state, dynamic, transient and frequency domain simulations
- Perform Steady State simulations to evaluate compliance to requirements related to: Short Circuit, PQ capability, Voltage limits, overloading of equipment, other simulations in the steady state domain.
- Perform Dynamic simulations (RMS) to evaluate compliance to requirements such as FRT, voltage stability, frequency stability, other simulations in the dynamic domain.
- Perform Transient simulations (EMT) to evaluate compliance to requirements such as Inrush current, fast transients, voltage stability, frequency stability, other simulations in the transient domain.
- Create scripts to automate the above described simulations.
- Write reports where the input data, results and conclusions of the above simulations will be clearly described.
- Support SGRE Park Control Lead Engineers on Field Tests related activities.
- Support SGRE Grid Engineer Managers to communicate and defend the results and conclusions written in the studies reports.
- Support SGRE Grid Engineer Managers to prepare the studies scope of work, which will include the planning of Input data, timeline, description of studies execution and how the results will be presented.

We Also Expect You To
You have a Master’s degree in electrical power engineering preferably combined with experience in performing Design and/or Grid compliance studies.
- Have experience performing several types of electrical studies like Harmonic Studies, Load Flow Analysis, Dynamic Stability, Frequency domain analysis, Transient studies
- Have 3-5 years of experience of working as electrical/power engineer
- Have experience using the simulation tools like Matlab/Simulink, PSS/E, DIgSILENT Power Factory, PSCAD/EMTDC or other similar
You have excellent communication skills in English both orally and in written form.
