What We Offer

The CFO (Chief Financial Officer) Community manages Covestro’s financial processes. It is also responsible for providing legal services and IT solutions to the company as a whole.

Our IT security team focuses in particular on the further development and implementation of IT security guidelines and controls for the entire Covestro Group as well as appropriate protection of IT assets and systems.

Your tasks:
  • You will be responsible for providing qualified IT security consulting in projects to ensure "IT security by design" and compliance with internal and external Covestro requirements.
  • Among other things, you will initiate and drive improvements, innovations and lifecycle management for the Covestro IT security architecture in close cooperation with the teams involved worldwide.
  • Active support of IT in complying with appropriate security requirements, IT standards and the IT strategy is part of your job profile.
  • Your tasks include guiding IT in the design of IT processes in consideration of ISO 27001 and their appropriate implementation and support of the IT organization in establishing adequate security reporting of the IT provider landscape.
  • You can look forward to advice on IT security issues at Covestro IT and the preparation of decision papers.
  • You will support data protection (DP) in Covestro IT and Covestro’s Data Privacy Office in fulfilling DP requirements. Furthermore, you will support the eDiscovery and litigation process.
  • The cooperation and exchange of experience with comparable companies on the subject of IT security also falls under the tasks.

What You Offer
  • You have a university degree (master/diploma) in information technology, natural sciences, business administration or a comparable education relevant to the position.
  • Additionally you have already gained initial work experience in the following areas of expertise focused on IT security such as LAN and WAN technology, firewall, operating systems, etc.
  • You have experience in a comparable role and in large and/or international projects.
  • We are looking for experience with ISO 27XXX and/or BSI Grundschutz and/or NIST.
  • You have strong analytical and conceptual skills to find goal-oriented solutions
  • Personally you are self-confident, have good communication and presentation skills as well as assertiveness and are able to show your strengths both as a team player and individually
  • With intercultural experience and fluent written and spoken German and English, you round off your profile
