Head of Lab - High Field MR-Imaging (m/f/d)
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead up a team of 4 technical employees and (optionally) postdoctoral fellows, PhD students and undergraduate students
- Manage CMR and LO projects in MRI & CT Contrast Media Research in collaboration with colleagues from adjacent research functions (e.g. Medicinal
Chemistry) as well as relevant functions from the business unit (Diagnostic Imaging/Medrad) - Present project proposals, experimental results and project status to relevant ER and PRC committees as well as prepare scientific publications for
the BU and support product marketing with scientific data - Identify and validate new technological approaches for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) for diagnostic imaging
- Know-how -building and continuous knowledge expansion in therapeutic areas for indication extensions, e.g. through participation in international
scientific congresses and build international networks with external experts, key opinion leader support in the respective field of expertise - Collaborate with LO project groups and GPTs (global project teams) as well as active participate in GPTs, e.g. participate in the preparation of
registration dossiers - Select, establish, applicate and continuous optimize in vitro and in vivo test models for the identification and validation of innovative indications for
existing research and development compounds - Be responsible for compliance with internal and external/legal safety guidelines (e.g. laboratory and occupational safety, biosubstances ordinance) as
well as the regulations of the animal welfare act
WHO YOU ARE
- Advanced university degree in physics or medical physics with completion of doctorate and several years of experience in planning and performing
partly in vivo experiments in MRI - Profound experience in programming and testing of specific sequences for high-field MR
- Experience in managing a scientific laboratory with technical staff as well as graduate students, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows
- Experience in initiating and managing projects as well as presenting project status
- Broad knowledge of programming languages, such as Matlab
- Ability to work in teams
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
The VS level is based on qualifications/periods of experience and company regulations in Germany.
