SBU NCE > NCE Construction > PMO, Portfolio Planning & Analytics > Analytics and System Support
Business Improvements and Processes is a department within PMO, Portfolio Planning and Analytics under the Northern and Central Europe (NCE) business unit at Vestas. The goal of PMO, Portfolio Planning and Analytics is to support the region in effective execution of onshore and offshore Construction Projects. Analytics and System Support will support the business in reviewing performance of the area of Construction utilizing the available data to create transparency on performance to the business. In the area of Systems Support the business will be supported by a team of ‘super users’ that can support the sites in the systems utilized by Construction.
Responsibilities
As Head of Analytics and Systems Support you will guide a dedicated team, supporting our construction projects with support to our construction systems and through metrics and analytics, and more importantly you will influence and contribute to the long term performance of the business. Through inspiring and professional guidance, you will coach your global team and continuously focus on growing capabilities and skills to ensure that we are at the forefront in the energy sector in all aspects of what we do. You will be reporting directly to the Head of PMO, Portfolio Planning and Analytics.
- Direct the data analytics transformation and set requirements for the data management and analytical systems together with the functional leads to ensure that the architecture and systems match the business needs
- Align and monitor construction performance with the stakeholders
- Ensure first line system support to sites is available
- Align with Global Construction on systems development and improvements
- Develop and implement goals and strategies for Analytics and Systems Support and ensure horizontal alignment with the NCE Construction organization
- Be an active member of the management team in PMO, Portfolio Planning & Analytics
- Together with Functional Leads, train and coach the team and ensure that we identify where we can create the best impact
- Ensure alignment with Shared Service functions that support our construction sites in training, construction IT support etc.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the appropriate level of data governance and creation of new data sources from turbine monitoring or workflows to continuously grow the impact of our products
- MSc. in technology, engineering, mathematics or business administration with relevant specialization
- Solid proven work experience in a management function within the data analytics or IT domain in a large global organization
- Solid proven experience working with large ERP systems such as SAP and optionally also BI systems
- Experience from the industry, construction or the energy sector would be
- Experience in a similar position working with IT systems at the intersection of IT and the business and thereby an understanding of the relationship between operational activities and technology
- Solid stakeholder management skills and ability to cooperate with stakeholders on all levels in the organization.
- Excellent skills in verbal and written English
- Curious, self-motivated and focused on creating significant impact with great results
- Innovative problem-solver with the ability to adapt to new/changing situations
- Ability to build positive relations and handle stakeholders at all organizational levels in a multi-cultural matrix organization
- Ability to work with both highly technical and business-oriented leaders, and translate technical topics into value for the business
- Business-minded and understanding of technical and process-related issues and opportunities
- Professional facilitator and great communication skills
