Tasks

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• You will be a key member of Talon.One’s accounting team and work closely with our Head of Finance aiming for continuous improvement of the organization
• You will be responsible for accounting of our German entity (accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and fixed asset accounting)
• Preparation of month-end closing and support our Group reporting
• Support the preparation of the annual financial statements according to HGB & IAS/IFRS
• Posting of accruals, deferrals and ongoing control of intercompany postings throughout the year
• Support the standardization and harmonization of our accounting processes globally
• Support global projects for process optimization across the organization
• Support planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Performing ad-hoc evaluations and analyses
• Close collaboration with auditors, tax consultants and all departments across the organization
• Ensuring all legal and accounting requirements are obtained

Requirements

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

• A commercial or tax-related apprenticeship or university degree, with further training as CPA or German “Bilanzbuchhalter”(m/f/d)
• Founded experience in financial accounting or tax consultancy
• Profound understanding of German GAAP (HGB), IAS/IFRS & US-GAAP
• Experience using DATEV and other systems as well as MS-Office applications
• Committed & respectful team player (m/f/d) with all-round vision and hands-on mentality as well as a high sense of responsibility
• Fluency in English and German language; English is our office language, but due to job requirements, German fluency is required
• You think holistically and have a proactive, independent and solution-oriented way of working
• You work in a structured, careful and absolutely precise manner
