We are looking for an Accounting Manager with strong eye for detail to provide comprehensive financial guidance to the organization and management to achieve business goals. You will be driving business effectiveness and success by ensuring adequate Internal Controls are in place to maintain accuracy of financial reporting while safeguarding company’s assets and reputation.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage and lead the Accounting Department and cooperate with the European Shared Service Center. You will also provide mentorship to the Controlling Team and support them with financial analyses.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Provide timely and accurate production of US GAAP Financial Statements in alignment with the EMEA monthly closing schedule, and in coordination with the Financial Shared Service Center
• Lead the execution and monitoring of Internal Controls (ICQ’s) as defined by Internal Audit
• Supervise all aspects of Financial Accounting, ensuring the integrity of Balance Sheet and Income Statement
• Coordinate and support the annual audit conducted by 3rd Party auditors.
• Be responsible for producing the Statutory (HGB) financial reports and supporting associated business reviews
• Ensure operational accounting is in place to meet Company’s targets. This includes Capital Expenditure as well as Working Capital KPI’s.
• Monitor and drive actions to improve Trade Working Capital and ultimately, Return On Total Capital
• Supervise and drive the performance of the team focusing on value added activities
• Ensure the department remains motivated and that business continuity is guaranteed at all times

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

• University degree, ideally in a Finance or Economics related field. Additional German Certified Accountant title (Bilanzbuchhalter) or similar trainings/certificates are preferred
• Minimum five years of progressive industry experience in Finance functions in international environment. Having a management experience and coming from a manufacturing environment is highly preferred
• Detailed knowledge of German and international accounting standards (HGB/US-GAAP) and internal control methodologies (e.g. SOX)
• Financial analysis skills and ability to solve problems
• Thorough knowledge of SAP, and experience with other accounting and reporting systems (e.g., Hyperion)
• Good knowledge of MS Office Package
• Strong communication skills, high level of energy and dedication
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix organization with frequent remote interaction with people from different backgrounds and cultures
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English. Any other languages are an asset
