WPA Analysis Engineer (m/f/d) - ( 22000DIB )

In the Powertrain Electrified Mobility (PEM) business unit, more than 1,500 employees at the Erlangen, Herzogenaurach and Bad Neustadt sites are currently researching, developing and testing everything that drives an e-vehicle - in particular e-motors, e-axles and other HV components of the latest performance class.

Your new field of activity at the Erlangen site

  • Recording, diagnosis and technical documentation of faulty inverters
  • Support of failure analysis in testing, of customer returns and production failures
  • Determination of material compositions using chemical analysis methods
  • Actively collaborate with internal disciplines to determine the cause of failure
  • Developing proposed solutions for product improvement

Ideally, you bring the following with you

  • a successfully completed degree in materials science or chemistry.
  • several years of professional experience in the environment of testing and analysis of electronic components of the automotive industry on system, package and component level
  • sound knowledge of relevant chemical analysis methods (e.g. SEM, FTIR, XRF, GCMS, IC and ICP)
  • Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills are part of competencies
