About the PositionBridgemaker is looking for a VP People to help us successfully continue the growth of our company and shape our organization of tomorrow through appropriate people processes and tools, modern leadership and organizational development approaches and an authentic, value-driven culture. The step from start-up to scale-up can be one of the most challenging phases in a company’s growth story. With a focus on the "employee experience", you as our VP People will ensure that you identify potential challenges early on in terms of team engagement and that our employees are empowered to perform at their best through appropriate leadership, tools, training and other attractive frameworks.
As VP People, you will take responsibility for all of these mission-critical areas, playing a critical role in shaping Bridgemaker’s culture, recruiting outstanding talent and realizing our vision. With your team (5 employees) you are responsible for the entire "employee lifecycle" of our approximately 100 employees.
At the same time you advise and support the management of our newly founded ventures as a competent sparring partner in all questions in the context of people & culture.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in the area of People & Culture, including at least 5 years of experience at management level
- Experience in building teams and scaling people topics and processes, ideally in a professional services and start-up environment or other dynamic growth organizations
- Strong customer-focused and entrepreneurial mindset and actions
- Empathic, addressee-appropriate communication towards diverse stakeholders
- Ability to build trusting and resilient working relationships and thus establish yourself as a "go-to person" (sought-after contact) within the company
- Creative and innovative thinking coupled with the ability to translate ideas into pragmatic and actionable solutions
- Structured and result-oriented way of working
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Data-driven understanding of key drivers of performance, culture and employee engagement and how they interact with each other
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills coupled with the ability to actively listen, motivate and empower your team with a high level of emotional intelligence
- Experience in executive coaching and / or facilitation desirable
- Excellent German and very good English skills
- You work closely with our management and partners and are part of the extended Bridgemaker Leadership Team
- You are a trusted contact person for our managers on all personnel issues and help them as a coach and mentor to further develop their leadership skills
- You establish a consistent leadership cultureand associated leadership principlesand ensure that all leaders are aware of them and apply them
- You will create and implement a holisticPeople & Culture strategythat takes our Employee Experience to the next level while supporting business and individual growth
- Through forward-thinking workforce planningand an understanding of the right mix of skills and experience in the team, you will be instrumental in ensuring optimal utilization of our organization (staffing of our projects) and thus the profitability of the company
- You develop our people processes in line with business goals and employee requirements and ensure an appropriate balance between employer and employee interests. In doing so, you ensure that the employee experience and results orientation take precedence over processes and policies at all times (no over-engineering)
- You ensure fair, trusting and motivating cooperation within the team, which is aligned with the company’s goals and enables employees to achieve their goals and to enjoy working together and their own creative freedom
- You design and implement frameworks for mobile / hybrid working that ensure that employee engagement, performance, interdisciplinary exchange and cohesion are promoted
- You develop meaningful key performance indicators and reporting structures for the People & Culture area and thereby promote data and results-oriented work
- You ensure a modern and digitally supported performance management processthat encourages regular open dialogue between managers and employees and promotes concrete feedback with regard to individual strengths, development goals and career perspectives. Ensure that the Bridgemaker corporate culture is clearly articulated, lived and incentivized, and that appropriate development actions for employees are derived from the process
- You organize the people operations area in such a way that our employees always have efficient access to all information, processes, guidelines and tools relevant to human resources
- You will work with your Talent Acquisition team to ensure that employer branding activities are aligned with the internal culture and that recruiting metrics are achieved while focusing on an outstanding candidate experience
