Job Description SummaryOwn the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. Activities that are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Accountable for consolidation of technical tender deliverables list issue with submission dates and global time schedule of tender engineering activities.
  • Issue Engineering DOR with the split of the engineering scope of work between all involved project parties
  • Lead and ensure the coordination between all GE technical teams involved in the tender
  • Support Engineering Discipline Leaders to anticipate and mitigate delivery issues
  • Ensure technical disciplines are Coordinated in terms of interfaces and synchronization
  • Lead and animate the technical coordination sessions, design reviews and technical validation meetings
  • Accountable for the definition of the project engineering budget in term of man-hours and resources
  • Define the tender technical strategy and ensure that it is followed by all involved GE technical tendering teams
  • Consolidate the whole project technical risks & opportunities and the corresponding mitigation/ action plan
  • Ensure implementation of GE Engineering guidelines
  • Ensure that answers to customer queries are consistent and check cross impact of comment
  • Validate and check consistency of the engineering documents
  • Coordinate the way to Track & manage identified or potential deviations
  • Accountable for the on-Time Delivery of the tender engineering deliverables
  • Check effectiveness of design against contract requirements and look for global cost optimization
  • Review and validate the Bill of Quantities
  • Organize Design review plan and manage design review
  • Comply with Quality Procedures
  • Report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate EHS leadership
  • Drive cost effective solutions
Your Profile
  • Bsc or Msc in engineer - preferred electrical engineering
  • Experience of Engineering activities in EPC type environment in T&D, Power Gen or O&G industry
  • Mastering of engineering processes such as: Civil work, Plant configuration, control &protection hardware, System & performance studies or Electrical design
  • Successful experience in project technical management
  • Knowledge of project execution risks and financial processes
  • Willingness to travel worldwide
  • Fluent in English, willingness to learn German
  • Strong influencing and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of project management principles
