To address new opportunities in an diverse market we are lopking to appoint aTechnical Product Managerto focus on the range of lubricants and associated products. Working with Product Management, Logistics and Engineering in the Product Companies in VTBA, the Technical Product Manager will be responsible for developments in lubrication and filtration technologies, ensuring that our products meet our exacting quality and safety standards. You will be partner for procurement for product and supplier optimization, phase in and phase out. You will report into the Technical Group Lead and lead all activities relating to the specification of lubricant for use in low pressure (vacuum) applications. You develop a sustainability roadmap that focuses on the removal of hazardous and non-compliant substances from our portfolio.
- You will develop an understanding of vacuum pump mechanisms, the lubrication requirements and how lubricants behave in different applications.
- Along with procurement teams, you develop relationships with suppliers and form strategic partnerships. You will be a partner for procurement for rationalization such as support supplier optimization and phase in / out supplier and product.
- You will follow global legislation to ensure all product are correctly labelled and ensure that safety datasheets are correct for all sales channels and regions.
- You will work with Service Marketing in the creation of the service launch presentation providing technical content and support in communication with Customer Centers and Distributors.
- You will monitor and anticipate global technology trends. Raise flags and help the business to prepare for changes ahead.
- You will create strategic test plans for new lubrication and filters aligned with Global Product Companies.
- You will develop a library of technical information, where test methods, results and batch qualify control data are stored and can be securely accessed.

- You have a PhD (preferred) or Master’s degree in Chemistry, or Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or other relevant science field).
- You have got 5+ years of work experience coming from applications engineering within industrial chemical processing or lubricant sector.
- You have thorough knowledge and understanding of chemistry and/or engineering principles and application in a research and development environment, demonstrated through relevant experience.
- You demonstrated the ability to handle multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- You have got excellent administrative and organizational competencies and good analytical and communication skills.
- You are fluent in English, as this is our internal language.
