Your role

Do you have in depth experience in working across large scale Transaction Monitoring programmes? Are you interested in the transformation and evolution of Transaction Monitoring? Can you coordinate oversight across multiple regions, functions and teams? Are you detail oriented with thorough record-keeping abilities? Do you have a proven ability to work with a large mass of data? Do you apply a smart risk-based approach to detect illicit activity timely and comprehensively?

We’re looking for an AML transaction monitoring specialist to:
  • act as lead partner for the AI/ML development teams as well as Audit / MRMC Responses
  • act as our in-house anti–money laundering transaction monitoring ML/AI SME
  • make sure our audit / regulatory responses are coordinated and aligned globally
  • ensure globally consistent Governance, risk appetite, monitoring standards
  • support ongoing client, regulatory and audit requirements on regular and ad-hoc basis

Your team

You will be working in the Global Transaction Monitoring Coordination, Strategy & Controls team within global Financial Crime Prevention function. We work as subject matter experts in deploying strategic and tactical controls to better identify potential money laundering, terrorism financing, sanctions evasions and financial crime risks for the bank. Our role is to collect group level risk assessments and regulatory guidance, evaluate money laundering risks using data analytics, and carry out systematic data mining exercises on a client and transactional level for the purpose of identifying new controls or improving existing ones.

Your expertise

You have:
– 4 plus years of experience in Anti Money Laundering (AML) and/or Transaction Monitoring risk function in the Financial Services Industry
– experience within AML concepts and statical concepts around Transaction Monitoring Risk Mitigation
– experience with stakeholder management across all levels of seniority
– ability to adapt and network across a global organization to meet competing but equally important priorities
– excellent pro-active communication skills
– experience in Financial Crime risk management, audit or compliance is a plus
– proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
– good record keeping and reporting skills
– analytical background, attention to detail, planning and execution skills

You are:
– analytic, with the ability to provide practical solutions for minimizing risk
– able to explain and present concepts in simple terms to facilitate collaboration
– analyze a problem, take a view and propose solutions
– result-oriented and assertive (you don’t shy away from challenging situations)
– a great communicator also in virtual teams
– fluent English skills (oral & written); Knowledge of other languages and cultures is an advantage
– known for having a strong attention to detail and strong research capability
