Your tasks and responsibilities:
- You independently coordinate a process for impact analysis and risk assessment of regulatory updates in all regions, in order to develop global action plans to address these changes
- You are responsible for working with the EcoDesign lead to support the implementation of proactive sustainability measures through business engagement and providing expertise for product design requirements
- You ensure the identification of legal exemptions and derogations where they are needed and justifiable under the relevant legislation for our business, in order to comply and maintain market access and/or promote innovation (examples: RoHS, REACH, Prop65, and global equivalents), and manage the preparation of exemption renewal or authorization applications where required
- You take on a leading role in trade association working groups in Europe and collaborate with Government Affairs and industry partners in trade networks, leading Healthineers’ representation in front of legislators, NGOs, or other relevant stakeholders, establishing and supporting advocacy plans where relevant
- You manage the "Center of Competence" (CoC) worldwide as part of a central service offering for Siemens Healthcare, overseeing the organization of supplier information about components and critical product ingredients (BoMCheck), and actively drive the software development and implementation of IT tools with budget responsibility

Your qualifications and experience:
- You have successfully completed studies in the field of Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or comparable; additional qualifications in Sustainability is preferred
- You have long-term professional experience in monitoring Chemicals policy such as the EU’s Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability, and implementing product related chemicals regulations such as RoHS, REACH, CA Proposition 65, PoP, CLP and in analyzing those regulations against impact, detailed requirements and ways to comply
- You have experiences in developing advocacy plans and position papers and in advocating directly with regulators and authorities, ideally in the EU
- You have very profound skills in chemical/biotechnology and in the electronics industry, preferably in the (In-Vitro) Medical Device Sector and in leading global teams and initiatives across functions and business areas

- You own it: You are deeply passionate about Sustainability / Environmental Protection, demonstrating the ability to profoundly persuade and engage others through very well-founded, highly pronounced, and very good empathy, trustworthiness, integrity, and intercultural sensitivity
- You possess proven analytical and critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving capabilities, and implementation skills, along with a robust skill set for strategic development and deployment
- You consistently exhibit a thorough proactive approach, aiming to find solutions that align with the needs of Healthineers and external stakeholders
- Your capacity to guide and develop cross-functional (virtual) teams and cultivate a culture in a dynamic environment enables you to navigate change without formal authority
- You possess excellent communication skills tailored to specific target audiences, both in English and preferably in German
