YOUR TEAM

Today a car is defined by the digital services in and around the vehicle. We are developing and managing all prerequisites for an outstanding customer experience to enable all Volkswagen Group brands to offer outstanding mobility services – from eCommerce solutions, frontend & backend development to customer experience management and analytics. The Connected Car Services business unit covers the creation of digital services at the intersection of the automotive retail business, connected cars and customers. The subunit “Operations and Support” is the backing of these services. We are responsible for the whole support chain, professional customer care and support as well as the whole operation structure including problem and incident management

What You Will Do
  • Identifying proposes for automation opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability of the Manual tasks and the Services.
  • Collaboration with different delivery / SRE / Ops teams to perform Root Cause Analysis, practice blameless Post Mortems, or to improve reliability and velocity of services.
  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
  • Definition of Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) to represent and measure service quality, together with the different Teams
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation; evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Be on-call, responding to and managing incidents.
  • Design and implement projects that improve the reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Partner with development teams on feature launches to ensure our customers are delivered reliable and scalable functionality.
Who You Are
  • Successfully completed study in the field of computer science, or a comparable course of studies
  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (e.g. Amazon Web Service (AWS), Azure) as well as Monitoring and Logging SaaS solutions like AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic or similar
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, AWS CDK, Bicep
  • Expertise around Linux, networking and security
  • Fluent English skills, in both speech and writing (German is a plus)
