We are looking for you! We are currently hiring a forward thinking and results-oriented Risk Manager (f/m/d) for our independent Risk Management function. In this role you will be part of the growing Risk Technology and Solutions Team within the global Risk Management team.

The Risk Technology and Solutions Team is defined as the core enabling team within Risk that supports the asset classes group and operational risk function. The team provides a deep technical understanding paired with strong data analytic skills to drive the success of the AllianzGI Risk Management globally.

The Risk Manager will report into the Head of Risk Technology & Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop solutions that will support the day-to-day activities of investment risk managers and operational risk managers
• Automate processes where possible e.g. with BI tools, Microsoft Power Platform
• On-board new technologies to enhance risk data analytics, reporting and efficiency of processes, e.g. Microsoft Azure products and services, APIs
• Support and improve the risk data infrastructure e.g. SQL database, Delta Lake, Databricks, Dremio, GitHub
• Support current applications used by Investment Risk as well as Operational & Business Risk
• Regular collaboration with asset class and operational risk teams to ensure applications meet business requirements
  
  

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Quantitative Economics or a related field of study
• Proficiency in SQL and one other programming language (preferably Python)
• Good knowledge in data engineering, Machine Learning/Data Science is preferable
• Strong analytical skills with profound knowledge in the asset management industry including the regulatory environment
• Eye for detail in the identification, creation and implementation of processes and controls and the ability to accurately document the work
• Very good communication skills in English to support effective collaboration in an international, diverse and highly interdisciplinary environment (German or other European languages are beneficial)
• Good team player as well as the ability to work independently
• Ability to constructively challenge the status quo, understand sophisticated topics and being able to explain them to non-technical users
