About The Role

If you’re ambitious, driven and team-spirited, this is your opportunity to build a career as a Project Manager at our site in Braunschweig.We will also consider applications from Berlin and Mannheim locations.

As Project Manager, you are required to drive project execution to maximize the results with respect to cash and margin whilst delivering on time, in conformity with the contract according to costumer expectations & in line with the platform strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Plan & manage the complete execution of his/her scope from transfer to close out, in line with contract requirements
  • Lead a project team, including core team and when applicable internal and external partners
  • Perform project management and contract administration according to Alstom Project Management Manual, including proactive risk and opportunity management, and in full compliance with e-book rules
  • Ensure completion of Project goals to meet business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible and accountable for the project profit and loss
  • Represent Alstom towards customers and when applicable external stakeholders
  • Ensure optimal quality of project and reviews
  • Ensure that critical aspects are identified in reviews and proactively / professionally addressed and followed up
  • Make sure that key project stakeholders are aligned toward project goals
  • Report to senior management, with transparency, the situation of the project and its KPIs, during the monthly project review.

You will possess the ability to make decisions with a sense of urgency, whilst demonstrating resilience and be able to provide motivational & inspiring behaviour, continuously managing & developing people.

Experience

  • Project management background
  • > 10 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of German Signalling industry, especially ESTW / DSTW
  • Conflict management and interpersonal skills
  • Team spirit approach and good communication skills
  • Communication abilities to obtain collaboration from the matrix organisation involved in the project
  • Anticipation, clear reporting
  • Alstom way of working for efficient process execution
  • Leadership, initiative and decision minded

The successful candidate will possess a University Degree and English and German language speaking is essential.

Ideally, you will come from an Engineering background and hold Project Management certifications.
