Description And Requirements

Lenovo are looking for an experienced customer-facing senior project manager to join our growing EMEA PMO team.

You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects of varying sizes from large multi-million-dollar complex integration projects through to smaller short-term projects. At a given time you may manage a portfolio of projects.

You will be comfortable and have experience with assembling and managing a team drawn from internal talent as well as from partner organisations. You’ll also have proven experience implementing and controlling project governance with senior customer and internal stakeholders. You’re likely to have a background in several project management methodologies, bringing that experience to the role.

This exciting new role will report directly to the head of EMEA PMO and will have the opportunity to help shape the future development of the PMO function.

Required Expertise
  • Proven project management skills in delivering complex integration and/or change projects for external customers
  • Be able to demonstrate delivery experience in one or more standard Project Management frameworks
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Lenovo’s customers – from project team through to executive sponsors – communicating effectively at all levels
  • Have significant industry experience and empathy for customer needs
  • Driven and able to problem solve independently – identifying potential issues before they materially affect your projects and either resolving them or bringing options to the table
  • Ideally you will have consulting skills that you have developed within a consulting organisation or similar environment
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering large external customer facing projects to time, budget and quality
  • Experience assembling project teams that include partner organisations as well as internal talent
  • Preferably, you will have experience working with sales organisations prior to contract to help shape projects to ensure they can be seamlessly delivered
  • You will be a project management champion at Lenovo and so should be able to demonstrate similar passion and influence in your current role
  • Being able to speak multiple European languages is a bonus but not a necessity; Lenovo’s business language is English
  • Travel to customer sites may be required and so the successful candidate must be able and willing to travel as needed for projects
  • To be successful you are likely to have 6+ years of relevant project management experience. Typical candidates will be degree educated but we welcome candidates with equivalent qualifications and/or extensive industry experience
