We are looking for a student (m/f/d)to work on a Master Thesis in our Applied Catalyst Technology (ACT) Modelling team based in Munich.
Here, you will collaborate actively in a multidisciplinary project to develop an innovative process model for a high-volume catalyst application. By leveraging the latest technologies and software for process modelling your contribution will enable accurate prediction of our catalyst performance on an industrial scale.



Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement: Develop a comprehensive process model including reaction kinetics
  • Evaluate and Select: Test kinetic models, identifying the most suitable candidate
  • Validate and Optimize: Validate the model using actual pilot plant data, analyze the impact of process parameters and propose optimization strategies

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Energy / Process Engineering, or a related field
  • You have gained a solid foundation in the principles of heterogeneous catalysis and modelling approaches in Chemical Reaction Engineering
  • You have basic experience in the use of process simulation software such as gPROMS, Aspen Plus, or ChemCAD
  • You are proficient in both spoken and written English, basic knowledge in German is desirable
  • You demonstrate a strong sense of initiative and ownership, taking charge of tasks whilst also collaborating effectively within a team environment
