MANAGER, NIKOLA HUMAN RESOURCES EUROPE

Nikola is working to revolutioniz e the transportation and energy industries by developing zero emission trucks and building hydrogen infrastructure.

Duties

The Manager of HR for Europe will be based in Ulm, Germany, report to the company’s Chief Human Resources Officer , and fulfill the following duties
  • Source, interview, and recruit technical and commercial employees
  • Oversee and facilitate the hiring and onboarding of new employees based in Europe
  • Support employees with day-to-day HR needs and questions , including but not limited to hiring, payroll, benefits, training, relocation, organizational design, and managerial effectiveness
  • Provide employee relations support for investigations and issues if they arise
  • Assist Nikola’s Rewards and Operations team by monitoring European-based systems and payment procedures
  • Grow and build talent by coaching and supporting employees and leaders in their respective responsibilities
  • Manage HR-related third-party service providers and ensure seamless employee service to Nikola employees
  • Interface with Works Council and local authorities as needed
We are looking for candidates with a deep understanding of German and European employment regulations and who have worked in a variety of HR-related functions for at least 15+ years . Importantly, we need a driven, self-motivated, and organized person who yearn s to play an impactful role in shaping the zero - emission solutions of the future .

Candidates should have an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, HR or another relevant field and be proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing). Experience in renewable energy, automotive or truck engineering, and manufacturing industries is a plus. Advanced degrees or accreditation are an asset.

Candidates must have current German work authorization for working in the EU.
