For our Lab Network team, we are looking for a Laboratory Quality & Systems Manager (m/f/d)!

The role

The Lab Network provides scientific data for global regulatory compliance, product knowledge and duty of care assessments, product monitoring, competitor benchmarking and much more. Our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation ensures that we are independent and produce robust and reliable data. We also depend on efficient Lab IT systems to ensure we can meet this accreditation and deliver timely results to our customers. In this role you will set and deliver a sustainable strategy for Lab Quality and systems.

What are your major duties?

• Define and implement Lab Network Quality Management and IT strategy
• Maintain and improve a quality-focused mindset within all labs
• Ensure all lab processes and systems adhere to relevant standards (ISO 17025, parts of GLP guidelines relevant to Tobacco Product inspections)
• Lead the Quality and lab IT team
• Prepare and guide through external and internal QMS audits together with team
• QMS strategy and maintenance
• Implement User Requirement Specifications for purchasing of lab systems
• Ensure audit trails and systems validations are in place as required
• Oversee lab IT systems to support data integrity and improve lab efficiency
• Prepare and conduct supplier audits

Who are you?

• You hold a university degree in analytical chemistry, natural science, chemical engineering or a related subject
• Proven experience (5-10 years) in quality management of analytical labs in a regulated environment (e.g. Pharma, Tobacco Products)
• Excellent knowledge of QM systems and requirements (ISO 17025, GxP)
• In-depth understanding of data integrity requirements (ISO 17025, GxP)
• Operational experience with LIMS and other lab IT systems
• Working knowledge or expertise in Validations of Databases, software and computerized systems
• Excellent people management and communication skills
• Proven project, change and stakeholder management capabilities
• Open-mindness, resilience and strategic thinking
• Operational experience in Lean six sigma would be desirable
• Business language English plus native / fluent German essential
