About the team

The Strategic Frontrunner Apps & Showcases team develops cutting-edge technology & innovation showcases. We showcase how tough customer challenges can be solved with SAP Business Technology Platform – in novel, creative, and innovative ways.

We exhibit how customer experiences can be re-invented when SAP Business Technology Platform and disruptive technologies come together.

In addition, we also facilitate an innovation environment, share our technical expertise, and constantly challenge what’s possible.

The role

As a working student (f/m/d) for UX/UI design in our Strategic Frontrunner Apps & Showcases Team you will work on a variety of projects, such as innovative showcases that emphasize the value proposition of the SAP Business Technology Platform. Advised by our senior designers, you will explore different design solutions, create storyboards, user flows, and mockups to visualize and share your ideas with the development team. You will also have the chance to directly interact with customers and users to perform all necessary tasks from user research / user testing, experience mapping up to high fidelity UI designs and prototypes. Furthermore, you will support the team with the creation of compelling and understandable visualizations for technical presentations.

We are looking for a design student (f/m/d) with a broad understanding of the UX and UI design process and the ability to join a software development project at every stage in the process to craft what is needed to deliver a great experience to users.

Role requirements

• Enrolled student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences, preferred field(s) of study: Interface Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design or a related field
• Required Skills:
  • Good understanding of the design processes, related methodologies and skills such as:
  • User research and usability testing
  • Experience mapping, Service Design Blueprints
  • Visual Design, Design Sprints
  • Mockups and wireframes in all kind of fidelities
  • Ability to translate user feedback into clickable prototypes and design frames for applications
  • Savvy in working with common design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Framer, Adobe CC
  • Fundamental knowledge of aesthetics and perceptual psychology as well as a good sense of beauty in UI and communication design
• Preferred Skills:
  • Basic understanding of multimedia/video production and animation by using Adobe Premiere and After Effects is a plus

We are looking for a reliable, positive, open-minded, and collaborative personality with strong team working skills, who is determined to reach goals in time, can work independently and prioritize. Besides a fluent command of English and preferably German the role requires strong communication skills that allow framing problems clearly and articulating ideas and design decisions in a comprehensible way within an interdisciplinary project team.
