This position reports to

Production Engineering Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Shape the future of manufacturing at ABB Ratingen: Develop and optimize innovative processes, bring the latest technologies into production and accompany their successful introduction.

Take on responsibility in exciting projects, implement creative solutions and work closely with experts from development, quality and product management.

  • Develop new manufacturing processes and technologies, taking into account corporate strategy and market developments
  • Assisting with order placement, scheduling, acceptance and commissioning of new production technologies
  • Carrying out error analyses, test planning and introducing new processes with functional evaluation
  • Coordination with development and quality management to assess the feasibility of production processes
  • Preparation of cost estimates and planning of investments during pilot series production

Consideration of occupational safety and environmental protection as well as carrying out the necessary monitoring and training
Qualifications For The Role

  • Completed studies in a technical field, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering
  • Relevant experience in the development and introduction of manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English
  • Sound knowledge of process optimization, ideally in lean management, Six Sigma and QM systems
  • Strong analytical and communication skills combined with a high level of team spirit and initiative
