A vacancy for a In-Service Systems Engineer EF Avionics (Display & Controls) (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join Services / In Service Support Eurofighter / System Analysis Avionics.

Tasks:

As part of the "System Support Centre Eurofighter" (SUZ EF) - a cooperation between Airbus and the German Air Force - our department is responsible for the in-service support of the German customer. Our tasks range from "daily" customer support to the technical development of the Eurofighter and are very varied and challenging.

You have a technical degree, several years of professional experience in aviation (advantageous in military aviation), are interested in being part of a growing in service sector, to drive new projects and to benefit from further development measures adapted to your needs. Then the following exciting tasks await you:

• Carrying out development work and studies to identify, secure and maintain EUROFIGHTER logistical systems system property.
• Carrying out and coordinating technical and logistical analyses within the framework of development and use (including problem analyses and analyses with regard to reliability, availability, maintainability) for devices and systems with a large number of functions and interfaces in the Display & Controls area of the EUROFIGHTER weapon system.
• Cross-system and international cooperation with other SUZ EF departments and departments of Airbus Defence and Space as well as EPCs regarding in-service activities; close cooperation and coordination with national military agencies.
• Carrying out and coordinating tests (e.g. system integration / qualification tests, operational tests) as well as studies for devices and systems with a multitude of links and interfaces for determining, securing and verifying the system properties in the area of display and controls of the EUROFIGHTER weapon system.

Required skills :
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Degree in engineering
• Work experience in aviation (preferably military aviation)
• Experience in technical project management including risk management and requirements based engineering
• Working in project teams during the execution of complex technical projects
• Knowledge of the weapon system EUROFIGHTER and possibly of avionics is an advantage. (focus on Display & Controls)
• Flexibility and readiness for shift work, on-call duty and national and international business trips are required.
• Fluent in German and English
