Due to our dynamic growth, we are currently looking for a

Head of Procurement (m/f/d)

(Located in Munich, Freiburg or Tübingen)

What You Will Do

  • You are responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of all goods needed for our international business.
  • You evaluate and develop strategic options to improve our cost structure at the interface to Logistics, Sales, Project Management and Operations & Maintenance.
  • You initiate and coordinate talks with existing and new suppliers (also insurances) individually or together with internal interface partners like Solar Trade and Solar Projects.
  • You directly lead the operational procurement manager(s) and coordinate international procurement activities.
  • Your team negotiates prices with existing suppliers on a regular basis.
  • Your team develops and secures volume and price commitments with the suppliers.
  • You are responsible for the correct and transparent setup and input of all procurement activities in our accounting system (SAP).
  • You provide procurement standards and financial KPIs to monitor our expenses and contribute the procurement data to our midterm business planning.
  • You support our IT department to adjust our accounting system on new products and markets.
  • You and your team provide input for our regular price update in the investment model and for customer newsletters.
  • You take part on events and external interest group meetings to be up to date on sourcing developments in our industry.

What You Bring

  • You have a bachelor or master’s degree education with strong economic or commercial background.
  • You bring along minimum 10 years of experience in the strategic procurement sector, ideally with goods needed in the energy business like PV-/ Battery-/ Charging assets.
  • You are fluent speaking and excellent written in German and English (minimum Level C1). Other European languages will be an advantage.
  • You have proven leadership in collaborating with a multi-skilled, international team with ability to understand and support other team members activities.
  • You have already managed a small team in a disciplinary capacity.
  • You have excellent skills in communications, time management and conflict resolution.
  • You are an independent, flexible, proactive person, who can prioritize, meet tight deadlines and able to manage work without supervision.
  • You are a team worker who embodies the company’s core values.
  • You are technically and digitally inclined.
