Global Business Relationship Manager (d/f/m)

The Global Business Relationship Manager (BRM) is responsible for the coordination of all Business Relationship Managers to align the technology roadmap and support several business areas globally.

For all Leica Microsystems business areas, the BRM Manager will serve as a critical point of contact and he/she will be responsible for developing IT as a competitive advantage and an enabler for the business by identifying how technology can help to accelerate business growth in each individual area.

You should be a change agent, with a good understanding about the challenges and opportunities of doing business in a Global company, sustained by strong experience with processes standardization.

Your Responsibilities
  • Partner with the business to define and associate technology investments by leveraging existing IT products in the organization
  • Align stakeholders around common measurable goals
  • Be accountable for managing and producing status reports around the current portfolio
  • Lead, promote and evaluate your staff in order to optimize the cooperation and to meet the requirements with qualified and committed employees.
  • Understand core internal IT products and new technologies and approaches to drive business value (external benchmarking)
  • Partner and benchmark with other operating companies of the Danaher group
  • Work with the development team to ensure that software (either developed in-house or procured through vendors) meets current and strategic business needs
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably a Master’s degree in computer science or business administration and/or Master of business administration with technology as a core component
  • Long-standing experience of people management and experience within IT
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle, project management (certifications are a plus)
  • Experience working across multiple levels of an organization and being a member of a business leadership team
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, exceptional service orientation, strong negotiating skills
  • Able to create context around key business drivers and strategic plan, able to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Fluent German and English knowledge
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Deep understanding of business drivers/processes and ability to relate priorities to associated technology investments
  • Knowledge of technology trends (e.g., digital health, big data) and demonstrated ability to translate these technology trends in successful initiatives within a local and regional context
  • Expertise driving adoption to improve IT
  • Ability to express local and regional needs towards a global audience
  • Ability to balance needs for standardization and enterprise thinking with specific needs and challenges in the markets
  • Able to synthesize leadership and stakeholder inputs into decisions
  • Ability to work at an abstract level and continuously “pivot” to arrive at the highest impact answer for the customer
  • Demonstrated ability to work across a culturally diverse environment
