Great Wall Motor Co., Ltd. (GWM) is a Chinese privately-owned automobile manufacturer headquartered in Baoding, Hebei. Founded in 1984, it is currently the eighth-largest automobile manufacturer in China, with 1.281 million sales in 2021.

The company produces and sells vehicles under its own branding, such as GWM, Haval, WEY, TANK, POER, ORA. It also produces electric vehicles under some of the previously listed branding, including dedicated EV brands such as ORA.

Named after the Great Wall of China, the company is China’s largest producer of sport-utility vehicles (SUVs) and pick-up trucks. In 2021, it was the third-largest Chinese plug-in electric vehicle manufacturer in the Chinese market, with 4% of market share, selling under brand names such as Ora and Haval.

For our European expansion project, we are looking for engaged and dynamic interns (mandatory internship) to support our colleagues in the IT department with their daily business.

What your tasks will be:

1. Perform month-end, quarter-end, year-end closings and reconciliations. (HGB & IFRS).

2. Bookkeeping of company transaction in area of General Ledger as well as monthly reconciliations, maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

3. Enter/Monitor financial data in deferrals, accruals, and reclassifications.

4. Post journal entries in SAP.

5. Support in monthly, quaterly, yearly financial statement.

6. Declarations in accordance with UStG.

7. Contact person for auditors, tax consultants & tax auditors.

What you bring:

1. Business degree with a focus on finance.

2. 5+ years of experience working as a GL Accountant, or a similar role in the Accounting department.

3. Well-founded knowledge of accounting principles and standards (HGB&IFRS).

4. Able to work in collaboration with various departments for accounting data.

5. Familiar with the common MS Office applications and experience in the ERP system would be an advantage.

6. Sharp eye for detail and team working spirit.
