Job Background/Context:
Position resides in the Finance area which services German entities including CGME, CEP Germany, Citi-bank NA Frankfurt Branch.
Citigroup Global Markets Europe AG (CGME) has been set up as the Citigroup strategic solution for the Brexit related changes for the broker dealer chain. CGME has received its CRR Credit Institution license in Oct-2022 resulting in additional regulatory reporting requirements and heightened regulatory scrutiny. The role is part of the local Finance team and has in depth interaction with business on all locally booked business.
This position will oversee regulatory change related matters for the other bank chain legal entities domiciled in Germany as well.
Job Purpose:
- Lead regulatory change projects for the local regulatory reporting team for Germany Controllers.
- Ensuring accurate implementation local regulatory reporting requirements for Germany entities.
- Coordination with various stakeholders such as the service centre in Budapest and technology
- Ensure overall efficient and targeted project results, identify process improvements & drive re-engineering initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop conceptional solutions for regulatory driven changes
- Oversee all project results and its related oversight activities
- Maintain a strong control environment to meet Citi internal and external governance requirements
- Oversight over the daily reporting process for large exposures, leverage and capital adequacy reporting to German management board. Proactively develop solutions to ensure efficient usage of capital
- Work in close cooperation with the Head of Regulatory Advisory & Change and Regulatory Reporting to meet new and updated regulatory requirements, implement enhancements on time and in a good quality and to implement enhancement to reporting processes
- Assist for questions arising from regulators around regulatory reporting (ECB, Bundesbank & BaFin) related to both the Broker-dealer the Bank Chain Entities
- Work with external and internal auditors for all regulatory related queries
- Close cooperation with CSC Hungary to maintian and improve country oversight on outsourced production activities
- Drive efficiency, automation and right-placements of reporting activities
- Drive change process by ensuring further technical improvements and high quality deliveries from the Solution centers

Qualifications:
- Bachelors’ degree from Finance or Accounting
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent financial background
- MBA or Professional Degree is an advantage

Experience/Knowledge:
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- In depth knowledge of Regulatory reporting requirements as well as applicable regulation i.e. CRR, CRR2 and Basel Accords (CRR 3) and stress test requirements related hereto
- Experience in dealing with regulation
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Very good analytical and technical skills
- Fluent in German and English in both speech and writing
- Practical experience with Finance processes
- Understanding of US local and IFRS accounting principles
- Multinational experience would be an advantage
