Responsibilities

We are looking for a Delivery Manager with strong experience in delivering software solutions, preferably within the Life Sciences industry, to be the single point of day-to-day contact for our clients, providing delivery oversight, account management and commercial management of our relationships. Candidates will need to have delivery experience within the Life Sciences industry, either having worked for a Life Sciences company in the past or with work experience at a technology service provider delivering into the Life Sciences industry. This is a role that requires collaboration with sales, marketing, often at a global level, leveraging wider Endava capabilities to grow our business in Life Sciences. Candidates will work flexibly from home, from the office, and on-site at customer offices. Some international travel may be needed at times, for example, traveling to our clients or delivery locations throughout the regions. Whilst the digital world of work has progressed, we still believe that face-to-face relationships are important. Ultimately, this is a leadership role and candidates must be able to motivate and lead their teams, ensure the long-term health of their client accounts, and be accountable for the overall success and profitability of the accounts, as well as supporting the growth of our business within the Life Sciences industry. • Must understand technology project delivery across the development lifecycle and have relevant business domain knowledge • Take full responsibility for one or more client relationships, including definition, managing the margin on each project, invoice process and the target profitability documentation, and expectations management • Establish strategic relationships with stakeholders internally and externally and manage assigned accounts successfully • Successfully communicate issues, manage client expectations, and be accountable for building trusted relationships with delivered satisfaction • Ensure that realistic project, quality, change control, and risk management processes are maintained, including revenue and cost forecasting • Appoint, monitor, and control resources, revenue, and capital costs against project budgets and manage internal and external stakeholders’ expectations • Ensure clients gain a high level of confidence in our service capabilities and contribute to the growth of assigned accounts in the Life Sciences area • Support the presales activities involved in acquiring new clients being involved in developing the proposal, including identifying delivery units, putting together the bid team, and taking responsibility for the technical and commercial output and quality of the proposal • The project manager and team will report to you - you will own the delivery to the client, direction/visions, ensuring Endava’s project methodology processes are followed, and ensure that all work has a clear business case that our team understands. You are the senior decision-maker on the account • Work to fully understand your client’s business, objectives, challenges and technical landscape, with a continued focus on customer and business benefits

Qualifications and Experience

MANDATORY SKILLS: • At least 10 years of professional experience • Experience in running large programs of technology renewals – from estimations, approach to delivery – delivery models, shaping etc. • Understanding of the Life Sciences industry (challenges, business priorities, technology responses) – ideally with a network in Life Sciences across Europe and the UK • High degree of adaptability, being able to work in virtual teams DESIRABLE SKILLS: • Strong understanding of industry-specific regulatory guidelines and quality standards and best practices • Understanding of clinical trials, drug research development and commercialisation, or laboratory operations would be advantageous • Experience working in the Pharma or Medical Device industries • Previous experience in working with nearshore delivery teams would be a plus • German speaking would be a plus
