Purpose of Position

As a Corporate Controller (m/f/d) within our Group Controlling Team, you make a significant contribution to preparing decisions for management and fostering transparency by creating and analyzing group-wide reports and KPIs. By constantly developing our analysis tools, you ensure that you keep pace with our growing business and dynamic market. All of this is done in close cooperation with our international subsidiaries and management. Last but not least, by participating in forecasts and budgets, you will be involved in actively accompanying our future development and strategy.

Key Tasks

  • Consolidating financial statements, explaining identified differences and balancing them in close cooperation with colleagues from other relevant departments
  • Acting as the first point of contact to the shareholder’s corporate controlling team while aligning on shared figures
  • Being a key user of Awin’s consolidation system LucaNet, taking care of correctness of figures and if needed aligning with the internal finance operations teams
  • Participating in the annual corporate planning cycles including the forecast processes during the year and in multi-year planning by consolidation of Budget, Forecast and Midterm Planning figures both internally and externally
  • Executing the monthly internal reporting for our management and the international subsidiaries while preparing the associated analysis and commenting on results internally and externally
  • Defining and designing controlling standards and best practices, as well as contributing to the further development of steering models and concepts
  • Assuming key responsibilities in different projects within the controlling function and throughout the group
  • Collaborating with Finance Operations teams in Month-End closing activities by checking, validating and approving figures
  • Preparing financial statements as part of our investor’s relations for Supervisory Board meetings

Skills & Expertise

  • Highly motivated, top-performing professional with a degree in business administration, economics, business informatics or similar
  • Passionate about controlling and finance, and looking to join a highly dynamic, diverse, and international team
  • 3-5 year of professional experience in controlling
  • Sound knowledge of ERP and consolidation tools (LucaNet & preferably MS Dynamics AX)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (especially Excel)
  • Advanced knowledge in BI tools (preferably Tableau), and reporting
  • Knowledge in accounting and controlling standards according to IFRS
  • Excellent communication in English as well as German
  • Experience in project management / controlling could be an advantage
  • Goal-oriented, analytical, and independent way of working; proven abilities to work in a team and show flexibility
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, being able to adapt communication depending on audience
