Position Summary
This position will hold responsibility for nurturing and supporting existing business throughout The DACH / Central Europe Region for the Bio-Techne Portfolio, managed from the DACH Headquarters in Wiesbaden. In this position you will be expected to maintain an extremely high level of customer and market knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure existing customer base throughout the Region is supported by understanding their current research and how the Bio-Techne portfolio sits within this.
- Use a selection of channels to support and develop new/existing business opportunities, including live in bound enquiries via the website, outbound cold calls, in bound/out bound emails and social media.
- Keep all channels of communication open with internal and external sales teams in the Region, lead generation and marketing to ensure a cohesive team for maximum customer support.
- Work closely with Marketing, Technical and Account Managers to execute bespoke projects to drive revenue.
- Identifying business growth opportunities in collaboration with Account Management team
- Identification and management of Local tenders in the region
- Ensure new customers are onboarded to the ACD technology and ProteinSimple Technology in an effective and efficient manner, providing continued support through new set ups and long-term instrument management.
- Work closely with Account Management team to ensure customer needs are met in terms of product information, quoting and technical support.
- Act in a commercially aware way to unlock new business opportunities through existing customers as well as live interactive web chats.
- Maintain awareness and knowledge of marketplace and competitors. Report findings and potential pipeline both monthly and quarterly to the Territory Manager.
- Represent the company at domestic and international conferences.
Job Qualifications
Education And Experience
- BSc in a biological based subject
- An understanding of the Life Science Market
- Fluent in German & English.
- Preferably demonstrable experience of working within a customer care/sales environment with a strong commercial focus.
- Experience of using own initiative and working in a target driven environment.
- Ability to track return on investment (ROI) and key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Possess excellent IT skills; including experience of working with databases, Office Outlook, using Excel and Word are essential.
