Tasks & responsibilities
- In your role, you are the trusted advisor for our Business Units providing excellent consulting services to ensure the success of Boehringer Ingelheim’s strategic and large-scale initiatives. As Associate Director, you therefore design, manage and monitor these initiatives across multiple functional areas, businesses, regions & countries.
- With your experience, you work independently within a project, facilitate tasks and deliverables and act as a trusted counterpart and sparring partner to the business.
- Moreover, you prepare, recommend and present actionable, client-sensitive solutions for projects to the business partner, steering- and executive committees.
- Anticipating future trends and upcoming challenges, you actively contribute to the departmental development by creating new methodologies, tools and concepts.
- As experienced project leader, you expose team members to strategic projects and senior management and providing regular guidance and feedback.
- You will successfully build up your own internal network, know the Boehringer Ingelheim strategy, culture and ambition and act accordingly.
- Very good Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Business Administration or Science, Medicine or other comparable academic qualification
- Long-term work experience with international exposure in areas such as Commercial, Medicine, R&D, Operations or Enabling Functions gained in the healthcare industry. Alternatively long-term work experience in management consulting, ideally in the healthcare or chemical industry
- Ideally proven consultancy skills, including strategy development, organizational design or equivalent, business units/ functional strategies, agile methods, etc.
- Ambition to solve complex problems in an ambiguous environment and a general understanding of strategic and economical "big picture" correlations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English are required. German language or further languages skills are an advantage
