About The Team
In the SAP Master Data Integration service team, we are looking for working students that want to grow their expertise with cloud software development.
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is the platform of the SAP Intelligent Enterprise. Within the BTP Core Foundational Plane, our team builds and runs the SAP Master Data Integration service, which is a global-scale cloud-based service that is responsible for all master data replication and integration across SAP solutions in the Intelligent Enterprise. Based on our experience, we drive core technology topics around how cloud software is going to be built and operated at SAP in the future.
SAP Master Data Integration is based on event sourcing and relies on related technologies such as Apache Kafka. We apply trunk-based development principles and build our service using a monorepo with various JVM-based programming languages as well as ReasonML (https://reasonml.github.io/), a functional programming language that leverages both the JavaScript and OCaml ecosystems. We heavily rely on Docker and Kubernetes to build and deploy our various services multiple times per day.
Within our team, we strive to continuously improve our service, its technology, the way we operate, and how we want to best organize our work in order to enable our consumers to run at their best. We strongly strive towards perfecting the "four key metrics". We offer room for experimentation, embrace promising new ideas, and are open to change less fruitful habits. We are a multi-cultural team with diverse personalities, with bright, fact-driven minds that like to challenge each other in order to ultimately achieve the best possible outcome. Our development teams are organized in cross-functional feature teams with full end-to-end responsibility and power to make decisions on their own.
