Job Overview

We are looking for a Web Frontend Developer on behalf of our client for their location in Bremen, Germany.

The number and quality of available sensors for the world-wide recording of object movements and environmental data is constantly increasing. In order to detect abnormal behavior at an early stage, a situational awareness system is currently under development with a focus on AI-based data analysis and human factors engineering. In this context innovative AI procedures and visualization concepts with completely new assistance and interaction technologies are to be researched, evaluated and realized.

The successful applicant will be employed by ATG Europe and not by our Client.

The successful candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to:

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Development of a web frontend with interactive components mainly using WebGL;
  • Agile realization of the requirements within a small development team;
  • Documentation of the progress of the implementation and test runs on your own responsibility;
  • Development and processing of interactive traffic data, geospatial maps and EO data products;
  • Extension of chart / map component with new functionalities (based on WebGL and React/JS);
  • Support the test and integration phases.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or comparable qualification;

Experience in in UX-Design and Concepts incl. Progressive WebApps (PWA);

Experience in vector map visualization and layer based map styling;

Experience in geospatial massdata processing and reductionHigh skills in React/JS based development and data binding;

Experience in RESTful Webservices, JSON and WebSockets Profound experience in Continuous Integration, Deployment and Delivery (incl. GIT, Maven etc.);

Experience in creating and editing 3D-glTF models with Blender;

Experience in design and development of reactive Web frontends allowing to perform the following tasks: Development of a responsive web frontend using frameworks such as React, Redux or Angular; Adaptation of existing HMI frontends to widely support desktop and mobile devices; Connection of the frontend to rest services for data exchange with the backend services; Style the web application using Material or Bootstrap frameworks;

Experience in design and development of a geospatial map component. In this area, in depth knowledge of the following is required: HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, Typescript, Canvas2D, RxJS and NodeJS, WebGL programming (incl. vertex and fragment shaders);

Experience with creation of IconFonts for the optimized cross-platform display of icons;

In depth knowledge about the maritime security domain Profound;

In depth knowledge of Java, Python and SQL;

In depth knowledge of geospatial visualization frameworks and technologies (incl. mapbox-gl);

Knowledge of maritime traffic data processing (incl. AIS);

Very good knowledge of visualization of dynamic earth and weather data;

Business fluent in German;

Business fluent in English;

Team player with excellent communication skills;

Service and customer orientated person with high sense of responsibility;

High level of assertiveness;

Willingness to travel occasionally a few days per month to other locations in Europe.
