We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Warehouse Manager (m/f/d) at our European headquarter in Mainz-Mombach, Germany. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in a fast-paced and high growth business. You will function as a part of the team managing our new production facility that is currently under construction.

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Manager will ensure day to day operations are running efficiently, staffed properly, and always working towards bettering the process. You will work closely with the Production Manager and the assembly team on all production needs, changes, and potential delays.

Overall Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Always looking out for the safety of the team considering also legal requirements
  • Ensure every employee in the warehouse knows their daily goals
  • Ensure every employee in the warehouse has the tools and knowledge to perform their task successfully
  • Manage inventory counts and assist with yearly audit
  • Ensure all teams have the appropriate kits and parts to ensure production line never runs out of assembly supplies
  • Communicate with the Production Manager on all pertinent delivery timeframes or delays
  • Participate in the Lean Manufacturing process to ensure continuous improvement
  • Perform weekly, monthly, and annual reviews for team members and work with them to achieve their career goals
  • Attend daily Production manager meetings
  • Manage storage locations (incl. outsourcing) and internal logistics
  • Participate in the hiring process for all new warehouse team members
  • Work with the ERP development team to ensure a smooth ERP implementation for inventory and warehouse needs
  • Ad hoc support to help set up the new production site
Competencies & Requirements:
  • You have successfully completed a degree - preferably business or logistics - or a comparable education.
  • 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry
  • 2+ years of experience managing people (approx. 20 people)
  • Experience with inventory management
  • Good computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Extremely detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of SAP S4 (EWM) is preferred but not required
  • Self-motivated – able to accomplish tasks and work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain documents in English and German. Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, in English and German
