We are looking for a Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d) to join our Munich based Finance Team. You are an emphatic leader who is also hands on and are eager to guide and mentor our Accounting Team?

Your mission
As Team Lead Accounting, you will closely work with the Finance Team and you will report directly to our VP Finance. Your day-to-day will also consist of mainly these topics:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure that there is adequate backup in place for every critical operation

• You ensure the operational excellence of the day-to-day accounting and compliance with accounting regulations according to HGB

• You drive the establishment, further development and standardization of accounting processes including compliance and risk management

• You actively participate in ongoing financial accounting (debtors, accounts payable, bank, cash register, payment runs, advance sales tax returns, summary reports)

• You provide leadership and professional development to junior members of the team

• You will lead, support and coordinate internal and external audit activities.

• You will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for our entities in Germany and abroad (DE, USA, SRB, GB) in accordance with local law and US-GAAP.

• You will participate in monthly forecasting/AOP processes

• You will be involved in cross-functional special projects and act as a deputy for the company’s VP Finance

As our ideal candidate for this role, you come with the following skills and competencies:

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience preferably in a Start Up or fast growing environment

• Strong time-management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and a champion of new software solutions

• Willignes to take over

• Excellent written and verbal English and German skills

• Able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the organization to achieve results

• Sound knowledge of HGB and US-GAAP

• Preferably first experience in leading and managing a small team
