Samsung SDI Europe GmbH is a subsidiary of Samsung SDI and Part of Samsung Group in South Korea. Samsung SDI is one of the major suppliers of lithium-ion batteries worldwide. Since 2010 Samsung SDI is the global market leader in Li-ion technology. We deliver customer specific solutions for the future of e-mobility, large electrical storage systems, renewable energy and mobile, digital consumer products and power-tools.
Samsung SDI R&D Europe (SDIRE) is a newly established Munich branch of Samsung SDI R&D. We are looking for great minds, keen to shape cutting-edge development of battery cell technology and support the advancement of electro mobility. You will be part of a newly established interdisciplinary and international focusing on electrode and battery process technologies. You will interact with academic institution and R&D facilities, the Samsung global R&D headquarter, industry and series manufacturing.

Ismaning (near Munich) as
Specialist R&D - Simulation Battery Process Technology (m/f/d)
Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Development of simulation models for quantitative and qualitative parametrization of production processes
- Electrode manufacturing process optimization and development via integration of experimental data in simulation models and simulation approach
- Management and supervision of interdisciplinary projects
- Screening, identification and assessment of technology and research trends in academia and industry
- Communication with internal stakeholder and external stakeholder in academia and industry
Your Profile
- Master or Ph.D. in the field of engineering, physics, natural science or comparable
- Strong simulation background applied to industrial manufacturing processes (minimum 3 years), preferably in the field of energy storage and lithium-ion battery
- Ability to independently build simulation models and evaluate trade-off between model accuracy and complexity
- Proven experience in performing data manipulation and visualization
- Strong network in academia and industry
- Experience in working in interdisciplinary and intercultural environment and self-responsible proactive work attitude
- Excellent communication skills and business fluent in English, German language skills are a plus
- Willingness to occasional business travels within Germany and Europe
